Application Requirements:
1. General Requirements. · Must be 18 years of age · Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent · Must be in good health. A physical may be required · Must be physically able to perform the task of search and rescue · May be required to submit to a substance (alcohol/drug) screening · Must submit to a criminal background check · Must complete a Basic Search and Rescue course and complete data sheet · Must have CPR certification and a minimum of Basic First-Aid · Must possess a Ready Pack · Must possess a valid drivers licenses, insurance and reliable transportation
2. Candidates shall attend a minimum of two (2) training sessions as an observer before submitting an application. 3. An application shall be completed and returned to the team. This shall include a criminal record check and release form. 4. The membership committee shall interview the candidate. Candidates shall be informed of an interview time following submission of an application. 5. After submission of an application , an interview and criminal background check, the candidate shall be considered as a prospect for Probationary Membership. During any regular training or any business meeting, the candidate shall be voted on by a simple majority vote. If affirmative, the candidate shall become a Probationary Team Member. If not affirmed, the candidate shall wait a minimum of one (1) year before being allowed to reapply.
